Graduate Students and Faculty in Occ Health Nursing: Banjul, The Gambia
Our MissionTo foster diversity and an international view of occupational health nursing (OHN). We are devoted to understanding occupational and environmental health nursing practice and we have developed this web site as a result of our classroom and clinical practicum experiences that have taken us "out of Iowa."
Who We AreWe are faculty and graduate students at the University of Iowa College of Nursing. Our Master of Nursing Science program in Occupational Health Nursing is funded by the National Institute for Occupational Health & Safety (NIOSH). If you would like to meet some of the Iowa graduate students in our MSN program, click on the MSN Students link. See the bottom of this page for more information about our academic programs. We are opinionated and as such the content and viewpoints expressed are our own, and are not necessarily shared by the University of Iowa, the College of Nursing, NIOSH or any other organization.
Student ExperiencesAre you interested in international travel? Our graduate students in occupational health have traveled to some exciting places. Recently, we conducted a walk-through assessment of a soap manufacturing plant in West Africa (take a peek here!) and a fiberglass manufacturing in the Slovak Republic (take a peek here! There is a wealth of information packed into this site. Do use the search function and explore freely!
